The Wedding Proposal

The Wedding Proposal

A Chapter by Nate
"

Words don't do this piece justice even tho it itself is a compilation of "words". It is in essence my proposal to the woman who chose me. Many men think they selece their mate but that is so very far from the truth. As males we are born with a Head ove

"

Holding your hand and looking into your beautiful eyes at this very moment, is more precious to me than even the air that I breathe.  I can see more clearly, and my life is in focus, and it’s all because of you.
You have become my heart’s son, and every time I say, “I love you, ” I sing that son, and each time it has more clarity and meaning than it did before.
When I hold your beautiful hand to my face, the warmth of you embraces me, touches me in places that I had long since thought were unreachable.  You are my only dream, and I dream you night and day, constantly.  My one hope is that you, will come true... for me.

Everything can be falling apart around me, this world, well we both know that it’s in disarray, but that doesn’t matter to me.  The only thing that’s important, the only thing that I adore, the only thing in this world that means anything to me and that I could never live without is you, most precious love of mine.  If I get lost and lose my way, you will always be the path that leads me back to love as well as the star that guides my way.  Because of you, each step that I take has more deliberate meaning, for it is the thought of you and the heart of you that guides my every step, that guides me to light and makes all that seems wrong become right... and for that, I love you.

I do not know exactly when this feeling that I am feeling manifested itself, but I do know that it is true and pure and good.  I wake up each morning and the first thought that my mind processes is how much I long to see your radiant face, to kiss your tender sweet lips, to hold your warm soft body close to mine and to get lost in your dazzling smile, once more, for a lifetime.

I go to sleep each night praying to God to hold you near His breast, to keep you safe and free from all forms of harm, and that He bless me to see you another day, and another day.  I often dream that I am with you in a field of rainbow colored roses and that warm virgin white snow falls from the heavens upon each petal, upon you and upon me.  I dream that each breath we take, frosted heart-shaped rings come from our mouths, interlock and then proceed to drift heavenward dissipating into nothing while remaining intact.  When I awaken and see your face, I realize that my dream will never come true because I am living that dream and I have been for quite some time.  You are the one, the only one, and I have been living out my dreams since I came to know you.

What I am saying is that I want nothing more than the blessing of spending the rest of my life with you, to carry you to bed when you fall asleep on the sofa watching your favorite movie, to listen to you and stop for directions when I get us lost on the road, to leave love letters on the mirror and flowers on the bed.  All I want is to give you the first of me, the last of me, the very best of me.  All of me.

You brighten my life and you radiate my heart, and there is nothing that I have that I would not lovingly give to you, for without you, I have nothing at all.  And all I want is for all things between us to be equal, for the individual to end and the together, begin.  I place my life in the palm of your hand and this ring upon your finger. This is my promise to you that I will always keep you first, to make sure that you always have the best as I, willingly, lovingly accept the worst.  You are my everlasting love, my rose amidst the weeds, my diamond in the rough.  And I would be honored as a human being and validated as a man if you would wear this ring so that the entire world can see that you, my love, are the only woman for me...

Will you marry me?
