You Forgot Your Tights (Superman)

You Forgot Your Tights (Superman)

A Poem by Nate
"

Can you imagine what would happen and how everyone would react if Superman arrived in only a cape. Just a light fun piece about how I perceive it.

"

I saw you coming out of the building,
“The Daily Planet” I think it’s called,
rushing off to save the innocent,
before they take a fall.

You swat away bullets and bend steel like clay,
“A man of steel”, but a reporter by day.
I saw you racing off to fight,
but “Superman”, You forgot your tights!

You raced into the telephone booth,
you changed as quick as a flash,
but when you flew off your suit got caught in the door,
now everyone can see your Kryptonian a*s.

I wonder if you’ve noticed yet,
as you flew off into the night,
it has to be chilly on your waggling willy,
“Superman, you forgot your tights! ”

C. Kent streaks in a blinding blur,
but today he’s simply streaking,
front page news on the Daily Planet
is what everyone will be speaking

“The Man of Steel saves the day”
are the words of “Perry White”
“But someone should have told that boy,
Great Caesar’s ghost, he forgot his tights.”

All of “Metropolis” is in an uproar,
hoping he doesn’t take a whiz,
the forecast called for rain today,
but everyone hopes it isn’t his.

When he lands I’ll let him know
that I saved his Super suit,
but not before I get a picture
Of the naked man in cape and boots.

And when I finish laughing,
I’ll say to him just for spite,
You might be just be “The Man of Steel”
but you’re nothing without your tights.
