Reverse

Reverse

A Poem by Nate
"

Stop looking at things for what they are but with your minds eyes, see them for what they aren't

"

Cold as hot cocoa,
warm as the snow,
dry as the water
where the wet breezes blow.

The sun shines at night
and the moon lights the day,
I know it's confusing but
for me it's this way.

Songs are merely spoken
and words fill the air,
my dreams are a reality
where only you're there.

Green roses with red stems,
orange juice that's blue,
I'm caught in the sweet confusion
of being in love with you.

This is the way that things are for me
where there's nothing better than worse,
and in this life that we're sharing
I'll be keeping you first.

The windows are doors and the doors made of glass,
we'll end at the beginning where the end never lasts.
We'll leave footprints in the water and swim in the sand,
and never means forever to a woman and man.

My imagination runs wild and reality's a dream
because being here with you is much more than it seems.
So much confusion I know it, but there's no place on earth-
that I choose to be with you, which means I Love you...

In Reverse

I have been writing since I was about 10. I began writing to express the agony inside of me as I was a victim of child abuse and neglect. No one seemed to truly understand why I was the way I was an.. more..
