Nature's Eternal RefrainA Poem by AnnaA Poem about Music. I wrote this for a project on Mozart.
An echo ripples in a pond, Breezing through the trees, it whistles. A cluster of blossoms dance in the light Of a sun whose rays can be heard. In the score of thy Season which cannot last An evanescing tempo. Embellished by a vertical horizon, A descant of crashing waves The wildfire’s flames cackle Rhythms of a beating drum. Of the many paeans, A timbre of lavish oranges and reds. Descending down from their bars As the nocturne nears A prelude to the end of day, Requiem to the sun. Bitter cold of drifting snow in unison, Textured soft like a whisper, An unrelenting resonant Zephyrs in measures, Canons of falling daggers Below a moon accompanied by its stars. A seed sprouts a familiar pitch Sign of a new refrain Sounding of the carillons, And the early morning bird, A mother of awakening cubs, A staff of serene growth. To disperse of the din’s last icy breaths And all the season of snow and sin. An awakening sun of eulogy In unison with the Wind, the Fire, The Earth and the Rain. The ripple echoes an eternity. © 2010 AnnaReviews
