Sunlit ShadowA Poem by MythIt occurred to me as I watched the sunset. I'm such a bloody romantic sometimes.Shadowed trees And shadowed leaves. Blackness where Once there was detail. Sunset skies Light up the shadows And make it only too clear Just how much we’re missing. Reality? Illusion? Some fantasy between? Invisible in the light The trees are blacker Than the night to come, And the sun Too bright for stars- How can you see The world When the sun Overshadows it all? Isn’t there More to see? Isn’t there More to be? And isn’t there A star Just waiting for me? © 2011 Myth |
