Frozen in Wait

Frozen in Wait

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

My soul never complete

But I had no way to know

Till I found it's mate

And our love began to grow

My soul has been closed

To those who want to see

Waiting for you

To set my soul free

Now I sit all alone

While you keep moving on

Frozen in wait

And not sure how long

My heart sits heavy

Pounding in my chest

My mind runs rampid

refusing to rest

Missing your touch

your kiss, your smile

The sparkle in your eyes

That makes it all worth while

So as I sit in pain

You're smiling back at me

I tell myself if it were meant to

It most certainly will be

Thank you!
This is really quite touching and melancholy. The rhythm and the rhyme are great... the flow is wonderful, almost too singsong for the subject matter. Just a couple of typos for you...Till in the first stanza should be 'til. You are using it as a contraction of until. And in the 4th stanza, rampid should be rampant. Beautifully done, Mysty!
