Dancing

Dancing

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

She dances on the edge of love

Testing the waters

They are frigid to the touch

Having been turned away into the cold before

She is afraid to jump

Hitting the rock bottom

So many times in the past

Knowing the pain it causes

The scars it leaves

The bruises that never fade

She watches her reflection

Dancing on the edge of love

Perhaps loving herself

Will just have to be good enough

For now

Loving yourself is key to anything I think. It has to start there.. but based on Adrian's review.. it just shows me that you can love and touch someone's heart in the most unexpected ways even when you are figuring out your own. I hope you find a wetsuit and jump in to be pleasantly surprised that the water is not as frigid as you though but warm and loving..

A beautiful piece..

Sweet, poignant, angel eyes. The sensitivity is exquisite. When the usual romantic self with its ups and downs is contrasted with a calm Witness that is one's always already free self, one has an easy compassion, as well as realizing that although one shares a depth of empathy, pleasure, and even full commitment to another, nonetheless our relative selves and relatedness are temporary.

The greatest gift is sharing the simultaneity of soulsensual honey from the heart with another and simultaneously serving a transcendent Spirit blessing all. The central paradox of existence is that we are what we seek. We still relate in the usual way, when we understand that, and rather than an abstraction, we find a greater depth in our relationships. "Eternity is in love with the productions of time," wrote Blake.

When soulsexual humor, romantic exquisiteness and transcendent intelligence co-exist, we got it all goin' on, and fear disappears as readily as a hand opening to a gentle breeze in the embrace of the midnite sun.

before we can move forward or be involved in a meaningful relationship we must have self confidence and love ourselves before we can become vulnerable and expect someone to love us. :) great piece

what a heartfelt poem. a truly beautiful piece. you really feel your heart sink as each line progresses.and the first couple lines actually feel as cold and harsh as the metaphorical waters it describes. you have a gret way with words as well as ability to convey emotion. great job.

Loving ourselves is the first key to happiness, for we can't love someone else whole heartedly if we can't love who ourself... then sometimes it may be all you have but if you hang onto that comfort soon you will be loved truly by someone else... wonderful display of emotions that many of us need to come to terms with everyday.
