Stand

Stand

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

I walk along a gravel path

An uneven walkway

Where I’ve tripped

So many times before

Noticing an unfamiliar bend up ahead

Standing still I stare

Afraid of what may be around the bend

My feet creating small craters in the dirt as time passes

Becoming more comfortable in my space along the path

I start calling it home

My fear becoming more real as I stand and I stare at what may lie ahead

I stand and I stare

Great write about how we can paralize ourselves with fear where we never move in any direction at all. Good lesson for all of us in these words!
