Rain

Rain

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

If only you would look into my eyes

Beyond the ocean blue

To the edge where my soul hides

There you will find me

I rise in the morning

Preparing for a new day

I set in the evening but I do not sleep

Thoughts of a new dawn surround me

Clouds close in

The rain begins

I agree with Adrian here - the rain is a cleansing force as well as a destructive force. It makes all things new again - just take a look outside when the sun comes out after a summer shower - all the colors of nature are more vibrant and alive; renewing what had become drab and mundane. The beauty of dawn is that brings the promise of another day; where the wheels of fate can be kinder and turn in new directions. :-)

Wow very beautiful... to compare yourself to the ocean is amazing cause we are all so vast with so many different movements and islands of opportunity... and the rain is a great way to feed us more information that can bring on a new day.

Thank you for asking me to read and review this piece. It is so sad. I like the metaphor of rain and tears. So so sad.

Cheers, lea

I can think of so many interpretations in this piece of work, it says so much to me, it is very deep. I believe you may be asking someone to look beyond their own sadness, that you as well feel their pain, which is your pain... which could be a long distance love affair... daylight brings hope and lonely nights bring tears.
