Little Things

Little Things

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

It’s the little things…

Freshly cut grass.

Flowers in the spring.

Sun warming on my cheeks.

It’s the little things…

A child’s smile.

Baby feet.

A giggle.

It’s the little things…

All the socks coming out of the dryer.

Enough hangers.

Having all the laundry done.

It’s the little things…

The smell of cologne.

Strong arms.

A kiss.

It’s the little things…

Silver jewelry.

Butterflies.

The color yellow.

It’s the little things…

A new pen.

Blank paper.

A good idea.

It’s the little things…

WOW!! That was amazing!! *searches for words in her mind*
Darn! I don't know how to call it good....IT'S SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!!
This poem is a must read for everyone, especially the ones like me who desperately need these little day-to-day joys. The image you've captured over here leaves a deep mark on the mind of the reader and well, it's irresistible to not read it again...
Wow!! I loved it so much> Peace is practically dripping out of every word. Maybe I'll print it out and paste it in my room...
SIMPLY FANTASTIC!! SUPERB!! VERY WELL WRITTEN!! *scrolls up to read it all once again*

Nice job!
The poem is good but the repetition of the phrase ,,It's the little things,, is kind of disturbing.
I specially liked the part with the pen and the paper :) .

Yes it is the "little things" sometimes the things that we miss on our day to day journeys, that are the most enjoyable. A good way to start the day, thanks for the reminder.

This is so true. A lot of time I have to remind myself to look for the little things, because it's easy to not notice, but then something like a painting will leap out at me or I'll look at the mountains and it all seems worthwhile. I really like the way you put everything into perspective with this poem.

Aren't they the best, no demands, no question to please or dissappoint. Just little things that bring so much joy, where saddness controls.

Very nice, sweet and a pleasure to read.
