Thicker

Thicker

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

I let my walls down.

I let you in.

I opened up.

I opened my soul.

I handed you my heart.

You handed it back.

Here I stand.

Left to put myself together.

As I have so many times before.

My wall will be thicker.

My soul more hidden.

My heart more fragile.

But I will survive.

I always do.

YAY! I love this. It is sad but it carries the strength inherent in all of us to move past the pain and go on with our lives. The title is the kicker. It's perfect but unexpected. Really great writing.

You go, girl!
You will survive but it is harder to do than to just say it! Another easy real life read......cheers, lea
