Dream

Dream

A Story by Mysty Rayn

I fell asleep

I had a dream

I went to a place

Where all was calm

No tears

No pain

No screams

Sadness did not exist

The sun shined its brightest

I felt warm

I was relaxed

I walked through the fields

Flowers of brilliant colors

Trees of the truest green

Birds sung melodies of my heart

Butterflies flew to their tune

I felt at home

The people smiled

They rejoiced

I joined them

They welcomed me

I saw friends

I found family

I then realized

This was not a dream

This was heaven

I already knew what my comment was going to be half way thru the poem. It went something like this:
This is how I would describe 'heaven'
but you beat me to the punchline by the time you ended the poem! HA!
Cheers to my friend, Lea

Dreams of a utopia dance upon the farthest reaches of the imagination. Still, imagination is boundless, and thus, so are dreams. And even dreams hint at a reality.

whimsically written.

Lovely images and description of a place we all would like to visit.

I liked the last line "This was heaven".

We can create heaven on earth if we truly desire it.
