We

We

A Poem by Mysty Rayn

Why are we not worth your time?

A moment you can not find.

Put the drink down, be a family man.

Stop ignoring us every time you can.

We worry and cry for you.

We don’t like the things you do.

You are a husband and a dad.

Your wife and daughter are very sad.

We’ve given you all our love.

We’ve gone beyond and above.

What more can we do?

We can’t fix this life for you.

I take it this one's for your father, judging from an earlier piece. Alcohol isn't the only thing that keeps people from their families. I have a huge addiction to playing music, tends to keep me away from my family. I'm trying to break the habit. Very sobering poem, pun not intended.
