You make me laugh when it isn't my plan

You warm my heart like no one else could

You open me up when I swore I never would

You brighten my soul and make me glow

You enter my thoughts more then you know

You pick me up when I feel down

Your voice is the most perfect sound

Your heart so big and full of love

Your soul could only be sent from above

Your kindness and smile so real

Your honesty a relief I feel

You just seem too good to be true,

Like you dropped from the sky, right out of the blue,

You make me afraid to take loves chance,

But a moment with you is worth it, know that in advance.

So long I've been lost

Thank you for being there

Almost the perfect definition of unconditional love, this piece speaks of a love with such a purity that is so rare for any to find. This is the ideal, this is the dream, and this is what so many of us seek to have in our lives and to be able to offer to another. Then again, this need not simply refer to another. For is this not the love we should feel for ourselves? Is this not the love we should greet ourselves each morning as we gaze upon our reflection in the mirror? Is this not the love we should bid ourselves goodnight as we gaze upon our reflection in the mirror before heading to bed? Yes, not only is this the love we seek from others and to share with others - this is the love we seek from ourselves to ourselves.
