Visions

Visions

A Poem by Abby Leach

Everything is spinning
voices contorting
my heart is twisting.

My arms are twitching
my mind is racing
you try to hold me
and I pull away slowly.

It's like you're taking a hit
when I'm weak and alone.
Do YOU feel MY pain
you say it hurts to look me in the eyes.

Do you see my demons
like Imagine Dragons warned?
The intensity eats away at you
ripping up your soul
as you try to piece me back together.

The tears come out like black ink
writing words on walls for me.
I'm walking all over the words
like the glass cuts my feet
but the blood just pours back into me
giving life for nothing to the weariness.

But when you stare back
it gives me visions
from back so long before
and it hurts to think we've changed so much
and grown so far apart.

I don't want your pity
nor sorrow or a small smile
it does nothing anymore
to help ease the throbs.

But the visions each come stronger
burning my flesh with each move
and it kills me to say
that the visions are why I hate you.

About
Poetry is something I really enjoy. I have been writing it all my life, and I never grow tired of it. I get inspiration from true stories, things that have happened to me personally, looking at pictu.. more..
