Letting Live

This poem is inspired by the song 'Renegades'.

In this dark pit

we wait

for just the right moment

until we've found

It.

It.

We are drawn to It.

We crave It.

And we all need it.

We wait

lonely

desolate

until we are joined as one

again.

Rising power

they can't tell us to leave.

This is our world.

Our freedom.

Our life

Nothing will change that

nothing will make us go.

We are the next generation

that no one can stop.

We can do anything.

We will unlock our minds' full potential

and make the most out of living.

You think we won't make progress

that even the strongest are weak enough

to fall.

The smartest to fail.

But you

the cowards

know nothing about

the freedom of life.

We test the water

head first

instead of dipping our toes.

We go in the darkness as fragments

and come out united

as one.

We will not fear you.

There is no reason that we should.

We are the masters of our own destinies

that no one but ourselves can change.
