Crystalline

Crystalline

A Poem by Sasavet

I lay like a child,
a single beating heart,
curled in the belly
of your bed.
Red mist spills
from my pores to your hands,
holding me together,
slowly weaving you apart.

Weave in and weave out,
though you will never be sewn.
Never complete --
never nothing.

We're a puppy in a pound,
novelty bound,
we'll grow, weave out, and fall --
you to the sky,
and I to the stones.

You sleep with a stone,
your heart, in your pillow --
I felt it soak through my spine one night,
beats trembled from cold to warm,

and I was complete.

Her name is Fiona
who you hold to my back,
she whispers words of love,
my beauty exposed..

But beneath her obsidian,
a spirit you've evoked,
she chokes on her snickers
and silently taunts.

Very well done. This sounds well thought out and full of sweetly emotional.

Beautiful poetry. This particular piece sent a shiver down my spine. Wonderful imagery and great use of metaphor throughout.
