Ode to a Chain

Ode to a Chain

A Poem by Sasavet

Barb wired necklace

A string to chain dogs,

An only child, one named desire --

I was your sheets that guarded sleep.

Water soaked in fields of hands,

Those hands which weren’t enough.

Slather me, roll me, puppet me “yes,”

Enroll me in your leg factory.

This mass of flesh

Is between my legs.

The key is hidden

Beneath the doormat.

Children cry,

Imposters sigh,

How else can they get inside?

I held that chain as a reign,

Swallowing my love of the tame.

Pound me as a hammer,

Building your armor of red --

Swelling heart, split mind apart,

Lamb whisper, “why don’t you come in?”

The poem is amazing. The description is detailed and strong. You create some wild visions with your words. I like this poem. Last line was my favorite. "Lamb whisper. "why don't you come in." A outstanding poem.
