Simply Me

Me in few words....

I am no shell

I’m not empty or hollow

I don’t act to conform

I do not follow

 

I stand on my own

I stand with my pride

Refusing to budge

And refusing to hide

 

I’ll fight for my rights

And for what I believe

To give into the world

I just cannot conceive

 

So take a step back

And step around

Because I will not fault

To me I am bound

The title is fitting with each line being succinct in flow. As a whole it speaks of strength of will and seems to do so without being trite.

I will not fault means i wont fault within myself. I wont change who I am. And I wont change because others tell me to do so. The last line To me I am bound. Means I am true to myself. I am me and thats all I need to be.
