A Day at the Beach

A Day at the Beach

A Poem by MysticMeasure
"

"
We were walking the frothy beach;
foamy was the show-
When caramel came slipping
through and mingled
with our toes.
A lusting breeze,
lapping across the water,
rarely charged,
until the moment came;
She conjured winds
that were as large
as those seen in the Desert,
across the Middle East,
The transient goes glazily
as She begins to tease.
But the lovers all recoil
And hide themselves in shame,
the wistful winds ruin
such a seemingly perfect day!
She and I go onward,
basking in the spot,
where waters come and go:
as the sea crabs in their trot.
Then the sun whispers,
In subtle, simple ways,
of the time that goes and
and of the nearly endless days.
She makes me laugh, and
I enjoy the sounds
of her plashy feet;
I wonder when we'll
come again,
and when, again, we'll meet.
