Wedge-tail EagleA Poem by Mystic DreamsWritten in the style of one of my favourite poems, Blake's 'Tyger'Eagle! Eagle! flying high Noble ruler of the sky Sovereign of the very air Who would question? None would dare
Where in the time of yesteryear Did such a hunter first appear? Bronzed copper wings of strength and power Causing all to fall and cower
Fierce is her wrath and gracious honour Champion of the Great Earth Mother Instinct born with primal heart Brutal force of Nature's art
Talons scratching, ripping, tearing Beak destroying, claws now bearing Prey back to the young at home Tearing fresh, raw flesh from bone
Russet Goddes of the skies The Eagehawk decrees with cries That all below be hers to rule That all she sees is her fair jewel
