Familiar fear

Familiar fear

A Poem by Mysteriousmaniac

Crumbling, returning to that little girl
The little girl that felt so small
Sitting in her little corner of oblivion
Putting her hands around unknown toys

She dares not to look
She knows nothing’s there
Her outer shell cringes
Her older self flinches

Flinches at the thought of sincerity
Stitches for scars
Covering that little pure heart

I need you to start believing
The familiar echo piercing
'Why would I?'
