A Cry for Help

A Cry for Help

A Poem by Mysteriously Me

Just another life living in anomosity
We're all just faces in the crowd
One step forward and two steps back
Let's keep doing this
Until we get it right

Oh God
How we take You for granted
Oh how little do we mirror Your image
Then wonder where the light has gone
I ask of You, Lord Almighty
Won't You take me back tonight?
I know no one else is listening
And I know You're the only one
To make everything feel all right

Jesus, I ask of You
Help me by saving my sinful soul
And putting me on a path of righteousness
Fill me with Your glory
And carry me when I can no longer walk
For I have traveled the road more known
To all of Your creation
And Jesus,
That just isn't the path for me

Oh God
How we take You for granted
Oh how how little do we mirror Your image
Then wonder where the light has gone
I ask of You, Lord Almighty
Won't You take me back tonight?
I know no one else is listening
And I know You're the only one
To make everything feel all right

Take me,
Oh won't You take me back
Take me,
Far from this anger and hurt

Take me,
Oh won't you take me back
Take my hand tonight

I am surrounded by a world filled with hatred, agony, and terror. Walking these streets I can't help but feel empathy overflowing to all that are being harmed. I believe I was put here to save the wor.. more..
