Rhythm of my Beat

Rhythm of my Beat

A Poem by Mysteriously Me
"

I guess a certain someone has begun to inspire writing. I never would have known.

"

My heart is floating aimlessly
Not attached to one string or another
But oh these embers are burnin, baby.
Could you make sure that they don't smother?

Drum to the rhythm of my beat, good sir
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
Don't you believe it's true, my dear
That this could very well be of fate?

Will you take my hand tonight, my love
And lead me to far off places
Will you take my hand tonight, oh boy
And show me a panorama of faces?

This heart of mine is full of gold
Looking for someone of worth to bid
I thought I found love once, you see
But now I know not on if I did

So, drum to the rhythm of my beat, good sir
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
Don't you believe it's true, my dear
That this could very well be of fate?

Will you take my hand tonight, my love
And lead me to far off places
Will you take my hand tonight, oh boy
And show me a panorama of faces?
