Where has the time gone?

Where has the time gone?

A Poem by Mysteriously Me

The summer colours fade to grey
And so do the memories of what used to be
Remembering the nights that we had spent
Holding one another close

These thoughts of you are suffocating
My face; turning a lovely hue of blue
Won't you please set me free
So I can stop wondering?

Where has the time gone
As this blustering winter wind blows
And when did your heart slip away
From the loving safety of my hold?

Six years ago I never would have thought
That I would find someone new
And turn it into something more
Than a masquerade of lies, but...

These thoughts of you are suffocating
My face; turning a lovely hue of blue
Won't you please set me free
So I no longer have to wonder

Where has the time gone
As this blustering winter wind blows
And when did your heart slip away
From the loving safety of my hold?
