 "I hope that when you’re with her you see me in the reflection of her eyes and I hope that when you kiss her you taste my lips and when you drive her home I hope you can’t get the thought of me out of your head and I hope that when she reaches for your hand it burns you a little because you remember the way I’d hold it when you cried I hope it hurts you when she slams the car door and doesn’t kiss your neck and I hope that for maybe just a second when you’re sitting there alone in the dark you remember how much you miss me and I hope you think I’m happy because I’m hoping that maybe one day I will be”

On the bright side, these moments inspire us to write and in my experience the sun follows shortly after the rain. The clouds will break.
