Fool's Gold

Fool's Gold

A Poem by Mysteria

Sly intervention,
of a fools gold love.
To justify the lies,
of a blind-folded heart.

To give is to lose,
greed is the new goal of the game.
Turning of the tables,
without a conscious thought.

Breeding a new warrior,
heart bleak of hope.
Nothing felt,
the slicing of the flesh.

Here we grow,
a place darker than before.
What has become,
nothing being learned.

For we have narrowed our perspective,
seeing what is told of us to see.
Bow now,
or break from the pressure.

HELP!
trapped in the narrowed view.
Pain is life's gift to me,
wax we have become.

Melting from the heat,
while others see from our hurt.
 winning everything,
that matters in the moment...
