The Comfort Zone

The Comfort Zone

A Poem by Nadia

In a place where thoughts are tame,

Every day feels much the same.

Wrapped in blankets, soft and warm,

Sheltered from the storm's alarm.

Routine whispers in the night,

Tells us everything's alright.

Familiar faces, known embrace,

A quiet, constant, soothing pace.

But outside the zone's thick walls,

Adventure waits and softly calls.

A world unknown, both bright and vast,

Where dreams can take you, oh, so fast.

Yet here we linger, safe and sound,

Feet firmly planted on the ground.

Afraid to step, afraid to roam,

We call this comfort zone our home.

But what if courage found its way,

To lead us to a brighter day?

To break these chains, to spread our wings,

And see what life's new journey brings?

For in the comfort zone we stay,

We're sheltered from the world's array.

But life's true beauty, ever known,

Awaits us when we leave our zone.

I have always enjoyed reading and writing. If I had to describe the perfect getaway, it would be me, a few pencils, at least ten notebooks, and some peace and quiet. more..
