She writes and writes, even if no one sees
Just to get a choke hold on these memories
She puts on a happy face for all to see
Because not many know of her history
Alone in her head with the memories of the past
They haunt and taunt her, they want to break her at last
These memories are like leeches - wanting to suck her dry
And she should be reminded, it's ok to break down and cry
Memories that would make other disintegrate
When all she wants, is for those memories to suffocate
These memories I'll share, if she is willing to let me in
Because no one should be alone when the darkness begins
But even these memories couldn't break the spirit I see
Because her eyes and smile make me weak in the knees
There are so many great things, she is so filled with depth
That you'd be a fool to walk her mind - an amazing labyrinth
I'd like to stay by her side, be a friend to her in need
I love her dearly even with all the past memories
