Tribute to Wicked

Tribute to Wicked

A Poem by Myshl

Her smile twisted into a curious curve

After a brief hesitation, my heart started to swerve

I was strongly curious, what made her smile so

To know, was something my heart wouldn’t let go

She sat, eyes closed, like she was in a trance

I knew I shouldn’t stare, so I took a second glance

The twist of her lips, the attitude she conveyed

The happiness and confidence she portrayed

I wondered what or who, put such a smile on her face

Was it a memory, a certain thought, or a place

She didn’t move much, just smiled in her quiet thought

To get my mind off of her was something I fought

This lady of Oz seemed alluring and suspicious

But oh that smile, was just wickedly delicious!

I like that you captured an expression with words.
It was wicked, and sometimes we capture so many
emotions when others don't even notice. AD
