Prove LoveA Poem by MyshelMarieTrying to mend a broken heart.
I had spent so much time trying to break all your boarded up securities,
trying to pursue you to let your guard down. Finishing touch ups on a master piece that needed no touch ups. Reaching for perfection when it was clear your love was the key, but as a young woman, in this dangerous world, I yell to you, "Let me in !" Let down your guard, my sweet cherished heart, and let me touch your wounds. I want to hold your soul with my wings of courage as you fight me for safety. My love will be your comfort and the nurse to the wounds I have caused. We have destroyed each other many times to build each other, but damn it do I love this man as I scream at the top of my lung, "Let down your guard!!" I will stand alone against 1000 of your attempts to block me out, but I will smile and prepare my bow and arrow, with cupids charm, and you will be my target as I direct towards you, I am coming for you. You hold the key to my heart and I refuse to walk away with it, and without you. This world was created for just the two of us, so let me touch your wounds and nurse the damages by showing you my love is the bandages. And I will continue to fight hollering, "Let me show you!" My heart, stays around your mind, dancing around your thoughts, dancing around my own thoughts of loving our body and healing your soul. We have consistently fought around like warriors, now lets love like gods and goddesses. Let me make love, and caress your body. And everyday until you believe me I will sing, "Let me love you!"
