Amber and Big Bear -- Part OneA Story by Myra LochnerPoetic NarrativeAmber was beautiful of course and he was a big bear, softer than hard, but harder than soft. They met in a forest, much like Little Red and her Wolf. But: Amber was not all that naive and her Bear was not a wolf. Of course not, for their story was perfect, right from the start; there was no comparison to any other sleep time stories. Amber used to walk alone in the woods. None ever warned her about a wolf, or a bear for that matter. She was part of the meadows and part of the mountains, just as the river was part of the heights and the slopes and the the valleys waiting for its rush. Big Bear was simply not in the picture before the story began. For, as all stories begin, it all began at the beginning. © 2011 Myra LochnerAuthor's Note
