A Poem by Myra Lochner
"

Written at midnight

"

The outward man is the swinging door;

the inner man is the still hinge. ~Eckhart

magical hour

when yesterday kisses

tomorrow:

sixty seconds caught

by four naughts

a doorway opens

to dreams

cure for carcinoma

in silent devour

of temporary sorrow

love's subtle power

good-night, my love

"when yesterday kisses tomorrow" THAT is quite a line, and the rest of this just follows suit. This poem, especially that line, made me think really deeply, almost driving me deep into a dream-esque type thought.

The mention of carcinoma hit me a little harder than I would have wanted and kind of jolted me out of the nice dreamy cadence this was following. Not sure if that was what you were going for, but at any rate... I loved it!
