Farewell Maiden

Farewell Maiden

A Poem by Alexander B. Kerri

'The people were affected, affected by a wicked immensity.
A land that shattered to pieces by a thing so fowl.
The ocean is affected with the blood of the murdered maiden,
The animals sigh and the bloodless souls weep.
For eternity shall the skies remain dark,
Weeping a melody and seeing the mourning.
Those who have come to see,
The one whose soul vanished, the maiden,
Who tried to flee.'
