Monsters

Deep down on the ocean floor

Waits a monster or maybe four.
One by one at my soul they tore,
Until they exposed my inner core
Gnawing at me til it's no more.

Feeding me to them so slow,
Hold me  in the water below
Pushing my limits til they grow
Keeping me safe in the water's flow
You were waiting for me to glow.

I like how it all comes back around, in terms of you ending it with the reference to the 'you' - makes the poem feel much more personal. I feel like the imagery could have been much more ethereal or darker, but I realize that it's harder to do when you have to rhyme. Nice job!
