Deep within me lies a place              

Where the sky is blue

Where the light dances with grace

Where I’ll be forever true

 

It’s a place where I can believe

What others don’t believe in

Where the pain I can relieve

Where faith and hope live akin

 

Where the truth triumphs lies

And the right will always shine

Where the sun will always rise

And where my life is forever mine

 

Somewhere where I’m free

To do what I’ve always wanted

I can be who I want to be

And I’ll never feel daunted.

 

I can forget about the outside

Where a whisper is a shout

Where a thought I cannot hide

Where I’ll always find a doubt

 

And retreat back within me

Deep within my mind

A fair haven is where I’ll be

Where acceptance I’ll always find
