The Final Finale

The Final Finale

A Poem by Nish Nish the Fish

It’s been a long, long run,

With too many twists and turns,

Too many gun shots,

Too many stern looks.

But it’s over now,

And the sun has set for good.

It’s been an avalanche,

A stampede of lies,

And even a few painful truths,

The kind that scar and bruise.

But it’s over now,

And I’ve signed out for good.

And I can tell

because, I’m the only one left on the battlefield,

with two swords in my hands,

and a dagger in my heart.

I can tell because,

That island in the sun has erupted into a volcano…

I can see the lava making its way into the dark corners of the earth.

Well they can stay there, and so can you.

I can tell because

There is no such thing as a “third chance,”

And you’ve exhausted all four.

So it’s over now,

And I’ve signed out for good.

wonderfully well written, I like the line
"There is no such thing as a “third chance,”
And you’ve exhausted all four. "
amazing job, a vauge sense of loss in the beginning, but twoards the end it shows a single point of losing the fantasy of the one that you love, not losing the person, but the ideal, beautiful work here
