I Believe in Belief

 

I believe in peace,

knowing that it’s the climate of freedom.

 

I believe in my family,

because they gave me roots, and wings to fly.

 

I believe in leadership,

to be inspired, and to inspire others.

 

I believe in friends,

who stand by me forever through the good and bad.

 

I believe in respect,

to treat others how I wish to be treated.

 

I believe in happiness,

because it’s the key to success.

 

I believe in creativity,

for it helps me trust my instincts.

 

I believe in dreams,

for they are necessary in life.

 

I believe in belief,

because believing makes dreams come true.

Author's Note

oh man, this was written in...oh 7th grade? (its 11th grade now..) its supposed to be my "creed," my framework of beliefs and guidelines. I'm proud to say, that i still live by these beliefs today.
