Bitter Sweet HomeA Poem by Nish Nish the Fishdedicated to daddyOne minute, I'm a shiny smile, My eyes would blind the sun, from so many miles away, I could run there just on happiness. In one minute, you gave me this light, That would purr in my heart, and bring out all my might, and let the joy begin. In just one minute, you said I could fly, travel to the stars, and soar through the sky. In that one short minute, everything was right. But the next minute came, bringing tears to my eyes, killing the music in my heart, tearing, and tearing, and tearing me apart. No more sun in my smile, No more warmth in my mind. Just sadness, and madness, both waiting in line. Waiting to strike, with that whip of displeasure, so vile and unknowing, oh the tears i could measure. every unpredictable day, every song, is like this. Bitter Sweet Moments, that give and steal bliss. Forcing my head into water, then coming up for air, every time that I speak up, my gift is a glare. My debt is perfection, and the cost is my pride, and one day I'll pay it, so i can get off this ride.
