The Life of the Phoenix

The Life of the Phoenix

A Poem by DeathByChoice

The sun sat high, blazing

As the conundrum burned

A world envisioned

Through sweetness sleeping

Peacefully in the bosom of the phoenix

Burned to life

In the hour of the night

Where shadows haunt your mind

Until all that's left

Are the ashes of the phoenix

Brought to life

By the belief of imagination

Before the clocks chime zero

And the prolific ashes

Drown in the blood of the phoenix
