Venting

Venting

A Story by Branden Matney

She believes him when he says "I love you." He has no idea if it's true. The thoughts of the things she's done in the past still haunts him. He loves her, but is unsure if she truly loves him. They fight, they argue, but never harm one another. They kiss, make up, and hold onto each other.
Although it happened months ago, he's still scared that her wandering mind may become curious once again. He's scared she's going to betray his trust and her promises again.
Although it happened months ago, he still cries himself to sleep, and beats on himself for things that he feels he did wrong. He thinks "Had I NOT been so needy and so misunderstanding, she would've never saw him!" Little does he know that no matter how much he beats on himself, the past is the past and that will never change.
She's over that other guy. She wants him, and she believes that he has forgiven what she did. He constantly reassures her that he has... but he hasn't.

She's happy, he's Broken. He refused to show it, but he's slowly dying from the monsters within his head.
