Slowly, Swiftly

Slowly, Swiftly

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

a revelation of sorts

"

Slowly, swiftly
Come on.
push me to the edge
My heart is allergic to
   commitment.
I've been holding on
To scraps of the past
Too long.
As though they might
   reassemble.

They won't.

So swiftly, slowly
Please.
Push me over the edge
I need a
Breaking point.

The edge it where you have to go in order to fly..well done.

Like it. There is an urgency to it, a boredom with all THAT, and I understand the need to feel something even if it means a smash to feel it.

LIKE VERY MUCH... SKILLFUL, WITTY PHRASING:::::
"My heart is allergic to commitment.
I've been holding on To scraps of the past Too long.
As though they might reassemble"
and the ending is K-superb..

Thanks for the break.. thumbs up!!

ace
looks like ur comparing a long term relationship to death u want it but you dont you almost desperately pleading for that sweat death at the end interesting well written short but any longer and i think the piece would lose some of its effect excellent work
