Sharing : A Not-So Skewed View of the World

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

my first I wrote tonight~

"

A contentment so loud

On four wheels,

Silently agreeing on

       direction.

Uniform,

Uniquely carrying us.

Discussions of philosophy

From the ugly

Lips of

      lost ones,

Who raise signs

Raising truth of the World's

     lost path.

Beauty through my headphones

In the night.

How simply

     profound.

Author's Note

Aimee Mahathy
on our way to the hookah bar, my friends and I discussed philosophy. And I remarked how strange it was that we get it, the point of life, peace, and society tends to look at -us- as the trash of the world... when they themselves make up the landfill.

Profound indeed! =]
I really liked the concept of this. This poem made me think, and it made me reflect, and it made me question. You wrote this beautifully, yet with a sense of sadness and wonderment. I liked the calmness and observant nature of this piece. The ending left me feeling inspired and empowered. I loved it! Hehe, a very nice write.

Your pain is real and the associated sadness is shared by me and many.
We both need to concentrate on our writng because in that we reach others
and that with our music we survive. Your thoughtful review was well appreciated, thank you. Sam
