Autumn Rain

Autumn Rain

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

How it feels to sit in the rain and feel

"

Touch me again,
Wind,
Let me feel strangers' memories.

In the silence
Of this downpour-

Break my timepiece
And I'll exhale wonder.

Are you jealous, moon,
That I have this
Reverie?

While you must float on
   above,
Detached?

Close my eyes-
I'll send you a summary.

Aimee! This is a delight! Perceiving the moon as aloof, because she does not answer your query, and then, your heart so full of love, you offer to send her a summary in your dreams, if she will send you sleep...Quite lovely! Mark (BTW, it's also raining in east Texas and south England, so don't feel lonely!)

A delightful piece! I enjoyed this thoroughly! Sam down there is too modest. He is one of the best short story writers I've ever read.

A beautiful and highly talented writing. There is much thought and meaning to such a short work of word artistry. What a beautiful picture this would paint. The wind carrying memories from the past ot deposit for your enjoyment. You take joy in having the time to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the rain and indulge in some daydreaming. You have no need for the mysticism of the moon. The power lies within you to create your own magic. It should be jealous that you do not have to wait upon its arrival, you can dream anytime you choose. We all interpret differently and this is simply mine. You write with an extremely talented pen. Keep exercising that gift!

How very well you convey your perceptions! A very nice poem, indeed. I see you know my friend Mark. (He's a way better reviewer than I)
