One-way Questions with a Ceramic Cat

One-way Questions with a Ceramic Cat

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

written in '05, personal made form

"

Atramentous ceramic form of cat.
Two painted eyes of a prim-rosy shade.
Its ears ever mindful of this and that.
Sitting politely, Victorian made.

Atramentous ceramic form of cat.
Why observe you, these things, yet not fade?
And if they disturb you, do you not spat?
Two painted eyed of a prim-rosy shade.

Its ears ever mindful of this and that.
Hear you not summer breeze, piano played?
And if you did, would you then lie down flat?
Sitting politely, Victorian made.

And if you did, would you then lie down flat?
Why observe you, these things, yet not fade?
Its ears ever mindful of this and that.
Two painted eyes of a prim-rosy shade.

Author's Note

Aimee Mahathy
The form is as follows:
Each line in every stanza has 10 syllables.
First Stanza: A1, B1, A2, B2.
Second Stanza: A1, B3, A3, B1.
Third Stanza: A2, B4, A4, B2.
Fourth Stanza: A4, B3, A2, B1.
(on a side note though, I'm beginning to wonder where my talent went. I had it in '05 but where's it been hiding? TT_TT)

About
I'm 33 now, much more settled into myself, and getting back to it again. The previous about me is gonna stay for now, since it's still somewhat accurate and I need some time to figure out what to say .. more..
