Genesis and Andy Warhol

Genesis and Andy Warhol

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

Inspired by an Image.

"

Clockwork
Broken clockwork
I chime along to
A hushed rhythm
A painting
                        blues and reds
Not mixed
Reflected in a
Clown's mirror
I heard you from
A deaf man
A glamour w***e
Bible in hand
                      oh Genesis
He said
And we cried
So the smoke trickled
Into my veins
Blue faded
                      where were my eyes?
Where was truth?
On your shirt
On the floor
Covered in my bile
Clockwork
Broken clockwork
I hum along to
Andy Warhol's dirge

About
I'm 33 now, much more settled into myself, and getting back to it again. The previous about me is gonna stay for now, since it's still somewhat accurate and I need some time to figure out what to say .. more..
