Embarking - a dedication

Embarking - a dedication

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

I wrote this while I was deep into studying philosophy and exploring my inner world. In an effort to summarize my hopes for the future, I attempted to paint a dedication for reference.

"
Were I planting a row of flowers
None would be poison to me.
All lush, dewy, fragrant blossoms-
Their waves crashing over my knees.

Like a wildflower meadow at morning
Somehow wholly sublime in its grace,
Bound by all whispered laws of nature-
Divinity lifts up from this place.

As I invite the Sun to my garden
I hope he should like what he sees.
For I'll tend it with kindness and water
And give it my songs as a breeze.

I invite constructive criticism, as my skills are quite rusty. Aside from that, I just hope you all enjoy what is likely the most wholesome poem I've ever written lol

I'm 33 now, much more settled into myself, and getting back to it again. The previous about me is gonna stay for now, since it's still somewhat accurate and I need some time to figure out what to say .. more..
