Replacement

Replacement

A Poem by TheLittleOne

Everything was perfect
until you told me to try
after everything I went through to be the very best
I took a leap of faith
and sadly failed that test

And now as I sit crying
The needles are pushed in
your keep up with your spirits
you found a replacement.

She learned all my parts
and frankly it ticks me off
As I sit here dying because what you asked me to do
she hasn't worked, she hasn't paid her cost
I worked so hard to prove myself
and I was placed on the shelf

now I sit here crying while I watch her compete
I won't be able to do that for a few months and weeks
It isn't fair that I did what you asked
and still I got replaced

I got broken because I didn't want disgrace
so now I sit alone too scared to show my face
It ticks me off how I get to suffer
after I worked the hardest
It makes me miserable to think that
your get all the benefits

The hell with trying
and to hell with caring
There's no I in Team because
I'm no longer on it.
