Where Are You God?

Where Are You God?

A Poem by Dalaina Renee
"

Just some thought on life in general....

"

There's people who are homeless, living out on

the streets.

Some are too cold, some too hot.

Most are starving.

They have needs that need to be met.

Where are you God?

There are husbands letting thier anger get

out of control.

Thier wives need a safe place to hide as his

fist comes at her face....

Where are you God?

There are childern hiding in thier homes, as

bombs explode outside, and solidars are marching by.

There is no safe place for them to grow and play.

Where are you God?

A single mother cries at night in her bed, after putting

her five childern to bed in a one bedroom apartment.

She doesn't know where they will be sleeping tommorrow

night. Because they will be evicted.

Where are you God?

Here I am.

I am fed.

I have a home.

I am safe.

I am free.

I know that someone is whatching over me.

My needs have been met.

I ask God, why haven't thiers?

Why have mine?

He asks me to go.

To help needs be met.

To look for others in need.

So,I get up.

My hand goes on the front door knob.

I head out in the world.

Looking for needs I can meet.

Well said. I heard where God is. He is in you.

Sinful acts are like a cancer; they grow until it is out of contol touching the innocent. We are all sent out to aid those who are in need. One way a heavy cancer treatment works against cancer. We who feed the hungry, give aid to the down trodden and give others a safe place to rest from their pain. We show where God is. He is inside each repented soul.

God is always there. Great poem!

This is a very "to-the-point" write! We often forget our responsibilities towards creations that share our existence and expect some sort of miracle from The Almighty.
Another wonderful write.

It's GREAT! So often we ask this question and get wrapped up in the "why" instead of the "I can make a difference". This is a great reminder that the hand of God can work through us, we can make a difference. It's very inspirational and a wonderfully thought-provoking poem. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
