Heaven's Flowers

Heaven's Flowers

A Poem by James Tincher
"

I wrote this as a gift for my youngest daughters 14th birthday.

"

God provided a

blessing when He

chose us to be

your family.

He said unto his

Angels, "Go forth

into all the gardens

of Heaven and pick

for Me the purest

and most beautiful

flowers".

After months of

searching all the

gardens, the Angels

returned and gave to

God the flowers He

asked for.

They handed Him

a daisy.  The flower

of beauty and

innocence.

They handed Him

a red rose.  The

flower of passion.

They handed Him

a lily.  The flower

of purity of heart.

Then they handed

Him an Aster.  The

flower of love.

God took the flowers

and blessed each

with a kiss.  He tossed

them from Heaven

and on this day fourteen

years ago they landed

in my arms when I held

you for the first time.
